Larimer County Man Arrested in Child Predator Sting
On March 14th, Daniel Goodfield, 36 of Commerce City, Colorado was arrested in an online sting operation that saw him attempt to purchase sexual services from who he believed to be a minor from an online forum. Upon arriving at the agreed upon location, he was met by law enforcement. According to the Larimer County Sheri’s Oce, Goodfield faces three charges which include: patronizing a prostituted child, soliciting for child prostitution, and cybercrime (soliciting/attempt). He was issued a $20,000 cash bond by the Larimer County Court.
The sting operation that was set up by the Larimer County Sheri’s Oce yielded some alarming results, stating that they had investigators posting as underage sex workers on various online forums and were contacted by dozens of men seeking to solicit illegal services. It is yet to be seen if other arrests were made related to the sting operation. In a statement made by Sheri John Fayen: “Protecting children is our highest priority in public safety. Abusing or exploiting innocent victims is never acceptable. LCSO will always stand between children and those who want to harm them.”
